Abstract
Highlights
Presented clinical case describes repeat mitral valve replacement using domestic bioprostheses in a patient with mitral valve defect who had primary mitral regurgitation and subsequently developed bioprosthetic valve dysfunction.
Abstract
Presented clinical case describes a successful repeat mitral valve replacement using domestic bioprostheses in the treatment of recurrent mitral valve regurgitation in a young patient, discusses the advantages and limitations of using biological prostheses and approaches to repeat replacement, and analyzes the adherence to therapy as one of the factors limiting the effectiveness of treatment of patients with bioprosthetic heart valves.
